How Participation Connects
KMC brings these different forms of participation together through Participation Networks that connect participants according to their respective roles, responsibilities and participation environments.
As participation takes place across different sectors of society, KMC connects participants through a series of Participation Networks. They do not represent levels of authority or importance. Instead, they reflect the different environments through which participation takes place.
Together, they provide a shared national framework through which participation across Malaysia is connected to support participation appropriate to their respective environments.
Different Roles. Shared Purpose.
- Network 1A – National Institutional Custodians (NICs)
Provide institutional alignment that supports the coherence, credibility and long-term sustainability of KMC as a shared national platform. - Network 1B – Strategic Institutional Partners (SIPs)
Implement KMC through licensed participation, supporting learning, collaboration and values-based participation across institutional and sectoral environments. - Network 2A – Government and Public Institutions (GPIs)
Implement KMC within government and public sector organisations through licensed participation consistent with their own mandates and responsibilities. - Network 2B – Corporate and Private Enterprise (CPEs)
Implement KMC within corporate and organisational environments through licensed participation that strengthens governance, integrity and shared values. - Network 3 – Communities, NGOs and Civil Society (CNCs)
Enable participation across community environments through collaborative engagement, learning and voluntary participation. - Network 4 – Individuals (IPs)
Participate voluntarily through the KMC Platform by exploring, connecting and contributing their values, perspectives and experiences towards a Clean Malaysia.
Connected Through One Participation Network
Although each Participation Network contributes differently, all participate through the same KMC Governance Framework, Participation Framework, Participation Experience and DOAMY™ Participation Journey.
Participants may contribute individually or through their communities, organisations or institutions. Regardless of how participation begins, every participant contributes through the same shared participation framework.
Together, these networks connect participation across Malaysia while preserving KMC as a voluntary, inclusive and values-based national platform that remains open to all, voluntarily supported and institutionally anchored.
